FAQs
What is SunDrew and how does it work?
SunDrew is a 3-day festival celebrating the things that matter most in life: house music, life-long friendships, Kyle Watson, pizza, and house music.
The lineup includes some young but mostly aging house DJs from across California. The festival is hosted at the Bordeaux and the Madrid and has three stages:
The Don’t Lab: indoor stage
The Oasis: outdoor stage
The Bassment: silent disco room
DJs have been assigned set times and instructed to prepare their absolute best sets. No half-assed transitions or underwhelming performances allowed. “Open Deck” slots are opportunities to freestyle in between sets.
What does my ticket include?
Your SunDrew ticket includes:
Accommodations - everyone gets a bed, no one has to settle for a couch.
A welcome bag. No no, a gift bag.
Artist passes for all DJs and VIP passes for special guests. You will receive a wrist band upon arrival.
Four meals and alcohol (see below).
I heard a rumor that HANZ will be performing - is that true?
The event organizers are happyish to report that after several months of protracted negotiations with her agents, sponsors, handlers, managers, and representatives, HANZ has agreed to perform at SunDrew.
What about food?
SunDrew will have the following food available in the Cantina:
Friday night dinner ft. Wesley Weekends
Saturday brunch ft. Taylor
Saturday afternoon first dinner ft. tacos
Saturday evening second dinner ft. pizza
Snacks will be provided but their availability is not guaranteed. We encourage you to bring anything else you’d like to eat. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions
Enough already does this thing include booze?
A portion of your admission fee will be dedicated to the purchase of beer, seltzers, and mixers - but you are responsible for bringing any hard alcohol of your choice.
What if I lose something during SunDrew?
A lost and found station is located in the Bordeaux. Leaving your personal items unattended is highly discouraged. Losing your mind is highly encouraged.
What do I need to bring?
In addition to the instructions above, we encourage you to bring anything that will help you have a great time and aid you in staying up late / making bad decisions. The Bordeaux has a heated pool and Bermuda Dunes is warm during the day / gets cold in the evening, according to this website.
What do I need to wear?
Who are we to tell you how to dress, but honestly we’ve seen you in festival gear and you look good. best festival attire on Saturday. If you’re looking for a visual, imagine that SunDream, Splash House, and CRSSD had a baby, delivered by Dr. Fisher at Ibiza General. In short: festival gear not required, but why not tho?
Can I make requests?
How dare you. Our DJs are highly trained but easily distracted. If you attempt to make a request by holding your phone up sideways with a track in bold letters thinking for some reason that will work, your pass will be revoked and you will be removed from SunDrew immediately.
Can I leave and re-enter SunDrew?
Yes. You may leave and re-enter at any time with a valid wristband, though we struggle to understand why you would want to leave.
I’ve never heard of these DJs - where did you find them?
We found all of them standing outside of Sandbar on a Saturday night.
Should I get Drew a present?
That’s nice of you to ask. There are only four types of presents allowed at SunDrew, and two of them are required:
Your physical presence (required)
A handwritten note describing what you appreciate most about your friendship with Drew (required)
Your favorite photos of you and Drew may be submitted in advance using this link and will be displayed during the event
