Tor N8o will spin, Bo Knows a go, Wes says yes, Soltani delivers Baby Flow
Soltani smartly bags four DJs, finalizes lineup, buys booze under budget; Tesser obediently pushes cart
SMART & FINAL PARKING LOT, COSTA MESA — SunDrew organizer Yassie Soltani finally had reason to celebrate on Sunday after picking up a 4-pack of refreshingly talented DJs to round out the festival’s lineup, just days before the festival gates are scheduled to open.
Soltani made the announcement in the parking lot of a Costa Mesa Smart & Final minutes after completing a SunDrew booze run and coming under budget.
“We’re excited to welcome Tor N8o, Bo Knows, Wesley Weekends, and Baby Flow to the SunDrew lineup,” said Soltani. “I also want to thank local Girl Scout Troop 342 who agreed to share some table space with me so I could \ make this important announcement.”
After using a muffled intercom to ask for their attention, Soltani explained to a mixed crowd of reporters and discount shoppers how she was able to secure so many DJs in so little time.
“As you know it’s not a super market for DJs right now, but we just couldn’t afford any more shopping around so I tabled everything else and got it done,” said Soltani.
“Now that the lineup is set, I want all ticket holders to know that I’m committed to keeping my SunDrew to do list to 15 items or less.”
Soltani told reporters that all four DJs have local ties to Orange County and have agreed to the festival’s progressive house track production guidelines.
“The fact that each of these DJs will spin at SunDrew is a great example of our commitment to finding locally sourced, plant-fed, studio-to-booth talent,” said Soltani. “We proudly require our DJs to produce sustainable beats, the entire festival is stage-free, and every track is inspected to ensure it’s volume-raised with high levels of BPM.
Soltani’s first of four commits came from Tor N8o, a local couple-combo featuring Tori Cameron and Cody Nadeau.
“Tor n8o has taken the DJ scene - which extends several blocks past the outer boundary of Chapman University - by storm,” said Soltani.
Fans agreed.
“I’m truly excited for SunDrew now that Tor N8o is in the lineup,” said Danny Phillips, ticket holder and SunDrew’s VP of Beverage. “You hear unconfirmed reports about where they’ll be, and you see them on TV, but you rarely get a glimpse of them live.”
Ticket holder Angela Alvarez - Phillips’ significant other and Soltani’s significant friend - shared her opinion with The Times via a landline in a boarded up basement somewhere in the Midwest.
“I’ve been chasing Tor N8o for a long time, mostly in my red pickup,” said Alvarez. “It’s been frustrating but don’t get it twisted - after this weekend it’ll all be worth it.”

After securing Tor N8o, Soltani shifted her focus to veteran house fan and Kaskade look a like Bo Knows.
“I knew she would call, and I know she knew I would accept,” said Knows. “I was a let’s go from the get-go.”
“Oh Bo? I met Bo a long time ago and I’m glad he’s a go,” said Cake, Knows’ long-time friend and fellow SunDrew DJ.
When pressed by reporters, Soltani downplayed reports that Knows knowingly posed as Kaskade in an attempt to enter restricted VIP areas at multiple festivals.
“Did Knows pose? I don’t know. We’ll see how it goes.”

“I’m excited to play at SunDrew, but it’s going to be a grind,” said Wesley Weekends, Soltani’s third DJ and talented chef who offered to work a double night shift at SunDrew.
According to Soltani and any calendar, Weekends will arrive around 5:00 p.m. Friday afternoon to prepare a special dinner for festival attendees and, after washing his hands thoroughly, will play a set scheduled to start well after normal business hours.
Although Weekends graciously offered to work both tables, Soltani still struggled with the decision to let him serve dinner and beats.
“Honestly, I don’t like working Weekends like this unless I have to,” said Soltani, “I stopped by to visit his girlfriend Kate to get her advice. She reassured me he could handle it.”
“I told her not to worry about him being tired, I enjoy lazy Weekends,” said Kate. “Soltani was so impressed with his willingness to pitch in for SunDrew that she shouted “You have a great Weekends Kate!” on her way out the door.”

Finally, well after the Girl Scouts and their dads had packed up and left, Soltani ended the conference by announcing that a new set time would be opened up for late arrival DJ duo Baby Flow.
“After signing their contract, Baby Flow joined our festival family at approximately 3:11 p.m. today at a healthy range of 124 - 130 BPM. Now that it’s over I can confirm that everyone in our family is healthy and ok, except for Tesser who has a nagging calf injury. Baby Flow is currently resting after a long set last night.”
In what some called a childish move, Baby Flow - comprised of happily married Spencer and Taylor Flower - reportedly brokered a last minute deal with Soltani to deliver a spot for them at the festival.
Soltani defended the deal. “I like our Flower arrangement, they add color to our lineup and have a winning formula that should be heated no longer than 10 minutes. It was, however, a labor-intensive negotiation. As soon as we started getting revised contracts from their lawyer every 3-4 minutes, I rolled up my sleeves, found some fresh towels, met with the Flowers face to face, and we both pushed through it together.”
Soltani ended the conference by noting she would keep the press abreast of any new developments.
